History
Dohrnii Medical was founded on the idea that technology should be utilized to save lives, extend ones health and recognize disease quicker by using more efficient means. Founded by Owner and President Jacob K Janik the name Dohrnii is derived from the Latin name of the “Immortal Jellyfish”, Turritopsis Dohrnii. Found among the waters of Japan, if a T. dohrnii jellyfish is exposed to environmental stress or physical assault, or is sick or old, it can revert to the polyp stage, forming a new polyp colony. This ability to reverse the biotic cycle (in response to adverse conditions) is unique in the animal kingdom and allows the jellyfish to bypass death, rendering Turritopsis dohrnii potentially biologically immortal(Wikipedia).
